Mission
To educate users and suppliers in the safe and proper use of powered suspended scaffolds. Collecting materials from manufacturers, suppliers, consultants and users, the council work towards reducing accidents through education.
Objectives
- Rewrite and update the codes of safe practices for suspended scaffolds.
- Update the training DVD.
- Create mini DVD programs.
- Continue to create and present educational programs at the SAIA convention.
- Promote the SAIA Basic Rigging Training program.
- Identify the most common cause of suspended scaffold accidents.
- Work with the Fall Protection Council to identify the best products and methods for suspended scaffold users.

WHAT IS SUSPENDED SCAFFOLD?
An elevated work platform, suspended by rope from an overhead support system, that permits it to be raised or lowered to a desired working position.
