Matt is Director of Business Development for MDM Scaffolding Services, Inc., a supplier and subcontractor of NexGenPlank, scaffolding, shoring, motorized work platforms and hoists in the Dallas – Ft. Worth area. MDM has been an active member of SAIA since 1993. Matt is currently on the SAIA Board of Directors, Plank Committee, and Future Leaders Board for American Subcontractors Association – North Texas.

Morgan was born and raised in Dallas – Ft. Worth but ended up at the Milwaukee School of Engineering in Wisconsin, where he played basketball for four years and was team captain for two of those years. He has been working for MDM since he was a freshman in high school, starting in the warehouse/yard and then moving to the installation crews before interning during college. Matt has also been a marketing assistant at MDM and now manages the day-to-day tasks for the sales and marketing department. He is a top producer in Scaffold Installations & NexGenPlank and is working toward second-generation ownership of Mdm, which has been owned and operated by Gene and Carol Morgan for almost 25 years.

Tom Brewer is the past President of Brewer Equipment Co. (BEC) and has been serving the scaffold and access industry for 46 years. A graduate of NC State University with degrees in Accounting and Business Management, Tom joined his father in the family business in 1979. Assuming the CEO position in 1982, BEC has since grown from a local scaffolding and construction equipment provider to a leading distributor and scaffold services contractor serving the southeastern United States.

Throughout his career, Tom has been an active member of the Scaffold and Access Industry (SAIA), currently serving as the Vice President of the Association, a delegate of the ATI Approval Committee, and a member of the SAIEF Board of Directors. With a passion for training, Tom has also contributed to the development of key training programs and the SAIA Leadership Academy, helping advance safety and education across the industry.

Tom is a past recipient of the SAIA Spirit Award.

Following a 25-year career in the heavy equipment industry with Caterpillar, Roger joined with Scaffolding Solutions’ founding partner in the scaffolding services business in 2007. Since taking a leadership position in the company, the business has grown 10X starting from a single Richmond, Virginia location, to now operating in the Mid-Atlantic from Baltimore, Maryland to Charleston, South Carolina out of five strategically located service facilities. New commercial construction, medical facilities, Federal, military and state building construction and renovation, as well as Industrial facilities maintenance are primary market segments served.

The company’s business focus is to provide safe, elevated worker-access utilizing premier brands of access products for scaffolding, shoring, swing stages, as well as construction elevators and hoists. Scaffolding Solutions, LLC and Multiservice, LLC- its industrial insulation company, have strongly engrained Safety cultures with operating personnel embracing this critical priority delivering best-in-class safe, high-quality services.

Roger is a University of Tennessee Business Administration graduate and has completed the University of Virginia Darden School- The Executive Program. He has served as Chairman of the Virginia Associated Builders and Contractors Board of Directors, and continues to be a national Scaffolding Access Industry Association Board of Director (SAIA). He and his wife Kerry have seven grown children and four grandchildren and together enjoy walking, exercise, cooking with friends, and doing anything around water or the beach.

Roger has operated with a consistent philosophical mindset of; “How can we be better?”, then driving strategic actions with calculated risks that embrace innovation to deliver business growth and success.

Frank Frietsch is Executive Vice President of Layher and CEO of Layher North America. He has served SAIA in numerous capacities since 2014, including time spent on the Executive Board. Frank holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and advanced degrees from Pforzheim University and Steinbeis-Hochschule in Berlin. In his free time, he enjoys sports.

Gary Boncich is the President and CEO of Resource, the platform behind Scaffold Resource and Reach Services, delivering access, scaffolding, and infrastructure solutions across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. With more than 20 years in the industry, he has built a reputation for driving growth, strengthening operations, and developing high-performing, accountable teams. Outside the business, Gary serves on the Board of Navy Youth Hockey, is a member of the Executive Committee for YPO Baltimore-DC, and recently joined the Executive Committee for SAIA. A dedicated triathlete who has completed multiple Ironman races, he brings the same discipline and competitive drive to his personal life, where he spends much of his time coaching his children, Ryan and Abigail, in ice hockey and Ryan’s travel baseball team. Gary has been married to his wife, Stephanie, for 15 years and is a proud, committed husband and father, grounded by the support and strength of his family.

James is the third-generation owner and President of Safety Scaffolds, Inc. which has been specializing in supported scaffolds in New Jersey since 1954. From spinning jacks in the early years to loading trucks, then erecting scaffolds and eventually landing in the office, he is a true product of this industry. James has been attending SAIA events since 2005. Since then, he has served as co-chair of the Supported Council, been elected to the Board of Directors to represent Region 2 and currently sits on the Executive Committee. When the day is done, James prioritizes his role as a husband and father of two.

Brian Andrews is the V/P Engineering at Bee Access, where he leads a design team in developing permanent suspended scaffolding including davits, anchors, roof carriages and permanent platforms. He also oversees the design team in developing temporary suspended scaffolding including rigging, suspended platforms and accessories.

Brian assists local dealers in determining the safest, most efficient and economical means to provide suspended access to the structure. Having an Engineering degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, Brian is capable of visualizing the concept, foreseeing potential issues, articulating the concept/design to the customer/building owner and designing the equipment. Sometimes Brian will help assemble the components so that he can explain the assembly process to a customer and it also helps him design more user-friendly equipment.

Currently, Brian is on the SAIA (Scaffold & Access Industry Association) Board of Directors, co-chair of the SAIA Suspended Scaffolding Council, co-chair of the ANSI ASC A11 committee (Standards relating to Scaffolding, Suspended Scaffolding, Shoring and Forming products and related components and accessories), and sits on the ANSI A120 committee (Safety Requirements for Powered Platforms and Traveling Ladders and Gantries for Building Maintenance).

In his spare time Brian is a triathlete and runner (completing two full-length Ironman’s, numerous Half Ironman’s and various running races). He also enjoys fishing and hunting while not at work in West Palm Beach, Florida.

With over three decades of experience in the scaffolding and construction safety industries, David Johnson currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of SkyLine Scaffold Inc., a 110-employee company based in Sacramento, CA. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security from American Military University and an Associate of Science in Construction Management from Consumes River College. Throughout his career, he has held progressive leadership roles at SkyLine, overseeing operations, safety, design standards, and policy development. A recognized expert in scaffold safety and training, he has authored multiple articles in Scaffold & Access Magazine and has led training initiatives for CAL OSHA and the Scaffold & Access Industry Association. He is a certified OSHA Construction Outreach Trainer and Lead Scaffold Instructor, with extensive experience training both private and public sector professionals. David has also served on numerous industry boards and councils, including the SAIA Board of Directors and the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange. David received the 2026 Scaffold & Access Industry Association (SAIA) Coupling Pin Award during the annual convention held in Nashville, Tennessee. This honor is given to an active SAIA member who has shown exceptional and exemplary service to the association.

Bredl has been an active member of the Scaffold & Access Industry Association since 1987. He has organized and led regional scaffold safety conferences, authored articles for the SAIA magazine and recently served as a member of the Board of Directors. Michael has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Grove City College and lives with his wife and family in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania region.
