Various telemarketing firms with names like Global Housing Services Corporation, National Travel Associates, Elite Expo, Travel Era, Expo Rooms, and others have contacted SAIA attendees to solicit hotel reservations for Committee Week.
These companies usually say that this is the last day to get discounted rates, block is about to be sold out, or some other scare tactic. NONE of these companies are affiliated with SAIA or the Asher Adams Hotel and they are not authorized to book rooms in the name of SAIA.
What they are saying is not true. If there is information on the hotel that SAIA needs to communicate with you it will be done through headquarters staff.
There is great risk in booking hotel rooms through telephone marketers. Companies have been known to cancel reservations once they have credit card information.
