Enclosed Scaffolds Guidelines

Purpose –
Educate users and installers of enclosed scaffolds hazards.

Audience –
Workers using an enclosed scaffold (end user), safety officers, managers, supervisors, Generals and Superintendents.

What is an enclosed scaffold?
Also known as a hoarded scaffold, an enclosed scaffold is one that is wrapped or partially wrapped with either;

1. tarps
2. netting and scrims, fencing
3. shrink wrap
4. signage, advertising boards
5. Any type of rigid enclosures (panels, sheet metal, plywood)
6. a combination of the above
